Lisa & Kyle- San Diego Museum of Art- Balboa Park- Saturday March 28th 2015

On Saturday March 28th 2015 we were honored to be a part of the wedding of Lisa and Kyle at the beautiful and exclusive San DiegoMuseum of Art. The glorious spring day was perfect for exchanging vows in an outdoor wedding ceremony in The Mary S. Marcy Sculpture Court and Garden.

Amy Lynn Kanner, a well renown harpist in Southern California, preformed many songs requested by the bride and groom
The outdoor ceremony was magical with views that included the beautiful California Tower and Building.  These iconic structures have been here since they were constructed for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. The tower and its ringing bells added to the festive atmosphere.

For the cocktail hour, the guests headed to the iconic Rotunda inside the Museum.

Since our first meeting, Lisa and Kyle have this vision to appear on top of the Rotunda’stairs for their grand entrance. Preceded by one of the largest bridal party we’ve ever seen- 20 people total- Kyle & Lisa made their Grand Entrance to 'Let Me Clear My Throat' Rapper DJ Kool- the edited version of course ;-) and then followed their first dance in the middle of the Grand Staircase.

Following cocktail hour, the May S. Marcy Court was ready for a beautiful reception, complete with a night of dancing. We kept the guests dancing all night with top 40 hits and more!

Christine Ong , Lead Wedding Planner @ Lavish Weddings partnered with Lex Wayning from the Abbey Catering and Events Design to showcase an outstanding wedding event.

We were very impressed with the professional and helpful staff during the entire day; especially with 3 different set-ups throughout the night! A special thanks to Andy Christensen- the SDMA Events Manager- who was very helpful as well through the night!

Every aspect of this wedding created a night to remember!

We wish the bride and groom the best of luck and appreciate the opportunity to work with such a lovely group of people!
