According to The Knot, weddings with a woodsy, rustic theme will be all the rage this year, as well as photo booths, 90s music and entertainment and all-nighter weddings that keep the party going long after the reception ends.

Tech-savvy couples will encourage guests to snap pics and use custom Instagram hashtags, providing phone-charging stations to ensure everyone’s batteries are fully charged.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, others will shun social media entirely, requesting guests check their smartphones at the door.

Woodland Weddings
One of the biggest themes this year is to mix rustic and natural with sophistication and glam. Piece together lots of lush greenery with pops of sparkle and bling. Look for wedding dresses that are ethereal in nature with floral accent. If you love animals, don't be afraid to incorporate that into your wedding theme. Look for animals printed on everything from invitations to ceremony programs to escort cards to bring your woodland wedding together.

Please Don't Instagram My Wedding!
Detach yourself from your cellphone is the theme for many weddings this year. Couples want their guest to enjoy the wedding and the time shared instead of having their guests glued to their phones. Take cue from Michael Jordan's recent wedding in Palm Beach, Florida where no cellphones were allowed. Give your guests a option if they bring their cellphones from a phone check at the door to special holding area. Make sure your guests are aware of your request by including it in your wedding website or ceremony program. Make sure your guests know that they are to refrain from taking photos or video and are there to enjoy your special day totally unplugged.

#SuperCharged Guests
Ont the total opposite of the spectrum are the couple who want their guest to capture every single moment of their wedding whether by cellphone or video. Some couple are even opting for creating their own special hashtag for the vent so all the guests can view each others photos and videos. One way to endure that guests never run out of battery life is to create charging stations at the reception. These chic and modern changing stations are as beautiful as they are functional. Look for cocktail tables with pretty linens and having florists create small flatbeds of roses or wheatgrass with little flowers and cords popping up.

All-Nighter Weddings
More and more couples are opting for all night weddings that last hours on end. The twist with this is changing venues. Look for receptions that end in one location and start somewhere else. Couple are changing each venue style and vibe to keep the party flowing. Look for after parties with different themes that will encompass couture late-night comfort food bites and custom drink pairings. One big important to-do for those taking this route: arrange for transportation home or back to the hotel so that none of the guests drive home afterwards.

Jeweled Necklines
Bring on the bling on wedding dresses this year. On the runways, necklines were all about added sparkle from the demure crystal beading to the more extravagant embroidered rhinestones and crystals. The dresses in themselves were full classic silhouettes so as to not take away from the necklines. Since most wedding photos are taken from the waist up, sparkly or unique details are best captured on the neckline or around the waist of the wedding dress.

Trash-the-Dress Backlash
Has the Trash the Dress sessions seen its heyday? It may seem so with more and more brides opting instead to keep their dresses intact for more formal portraits. Although most brides do opt for formal portraits of herself in her wedding dress, the Southern bride gives formal portraiture a new meaning and would never think of trashing their dresses. Formal bridal party portraits and family shots too are back in style and sometimes even sans smile!

Brights Are Back
Color is something that has been trickling its way back into weddings and not just sweet pastels but bright bold colors. Don't think rainbow though. Think more along the lines of your basic primary colors like reds in the form of poppy, oranges in the form of tangerine and blues and purples in the form of indigo. Infuse your color not only into your bridesmaids dresses but also into your florals, decorations, table settings and even your nail polish.

The Year of the Flower
You can't even begin to think about a wedding without flowers. Luckily in 2014 flowers are taking more of a center stage. Look for oversized cascade bridal bouquets and elaborate flower installations that hang over the dance floor. Flowers are being woven into the décor more than ever by draping elaborate displays over tables, having fresh flower ceremony arches, decking out cake canopies with flowers and displaying escort cards and seating arrangements on a fresh flower wall. Don't be surprised if you even see a confetti cannon shooting rose petals during the couple's grand exit.

Long Live the Photo Booth
In recent years, the photo booth has taking a whole new aspect to wedding, from vintage photo boots, tot themed photo booths to even monogrammed photo strips as favors and point-and-shoot booths that project guests' photos in real time over the dance floor. In 2014, use a slow motion video booth that using a special infrared camera, a videographer creates an amazing keepsake.

The Dream of the '90s Is Alive
First the 80s were back and now the '90s. Look for '90s inspiration for you wedding from ready-to-wear fashion to home design trends and even Billboard's "The Hot 100" music list. Keep the party going with temporary tattoo wedding favor, hip hop music groups and even break dancers to entertain guests while the band or DJ takes a break, and of course crop-top wedding dresses.

Music that fits your theme.
New York society bandleader Alex Donner says his clients are requesting music to go along with wedding themes ranging from films (The Great Gatsby) to locales (like France — all songs were performed in French!)

New Years Eve weekend was a great time to throw a class reunion as guests were in full party mode with the long weekend.

This past Saturday, December 28th 2013, Glasz Productions had the pleasure of performing at the Mater Dei High School Class of 2003- 10 Year Reunion party held at The LaVecke Center in Santa Ana, Ca.

We were retained by Kathleen Kelly, Director of Alumni Relations & Christine Glover who organized the Reunion.

The party was held from 7 PM - Midnight.

Class reunions do not necessarily feature dancing, since classmates are often in conversation trying to catch up with their friends as some of them live very far.  Our guests had a lot to catch up about, some of them haven’t seen each other for 10 years.

Fortunately, the Mater Dei Class of 2003 was in a festive mood and hit the dancefloor in the 2 final hours! What a blast!

Ryan had some quiz and facts from 2003 which was a lot of fun!

Then, finally Class of 2003 started to hit the dancefloor, as they were such a fun group, we decided to start some dances like Cha Cha Slide & The Wobble, and suddenly almost all the Class of 2003 was dancing! The Monarchs’ Spirit was back for sure!

On a personal note, it was also a Special moment for Ryan, as he graduated from Mater Dei in 97’ and his brother Andrew was part of this special night!

Thanks Monarchs for your Great Spirit!

We can’t wait to be the Entertainment for some other Classes Reunions at Mater Dei High School!

Talk about a year that flew by…2013 was such an amazing year!

Starting this crazy adventure, was the best decision we've ever made, even though we've been DJing parties and weddings since 2007.

It’s been a extremely good year for us in both our business ventures and our personal life.
It’s also been one of the most creative years we’ve ever had!

We were blessed to be a part of a lot of couples most precious moments, as they became husband and wife. We were honored to help celebrate their union with their family and friends and more important, we were blessed to gain new friendships along the way.

We also had the chance to DJ wedding anniversaries, school dances, birthday parties, fundraisers and holiday parties and meet so many great people at each event.
We feel so blessed looking back to this year!

As we come to the end of 2013, we expect 2014 to be just as great with some fabulous new events.
We also have some new things coming that we know you’ll love. <– Teaser alert!

We signed new partnerships with some of the best venues and catering companies in San Diego and we look forward to working with them in 2014.

This year has been a turning point in our lives as we started to build a reputable company that focuses on the customer. A majority of our business is word of mouth from past clients and direct referrals from some of the best wedding vendors in the area. We take this as a great compliment.

We’ve learned so much this year! All our events were so different, we improved our capacity to adapt to each of them and gave 200% to all of our clients.

But we totally know that all this greatness would have never been possible without the support of our families and friends.

Thanks so much for your support and believing in us. Merci a tous!

Thanks also to the artists who create beautiful songs and music everyday, because without them, let's face it, we are nothing!

We are so excited to hit 2014! If we had one wish, we would ask 2014 to be as good as 2013!

From Ryan & Sevy here at Glasz Productions, may you have a Happy New Year and Stay Glaszy!

Glasz Productions was the DJ of choice for Ocean Beach People's Organic Food Market Holiday Party at the Marina Village Conference Center in Mission Bay.

The party was held in The Marine Room facing the marina and boats, it was a beautiful  waterfront setting.
Catering was provided by The House of Thai from Point Loma.

This is the first year we have worked with the company for their Company Holiday party
We had the great pleasure to meet Jamie Decker, the Financial Manager & Advertising Representative, during the Ocean Beach Mainstreet Association' Sundowner a few months ago.
She mentioned that they were looking for a DJ/ Emcee to entertain their annual Holiday Party.
Nancy Casady, the General Manager, and Jamie decided to hire us.

The Ocean Beach People's Organic Food Market is a member-owned vegetarian consumer co-op that has been serving the Ocean Beach community since 1972.

130 guests were present including a lot of kids!

Unlike other DJ companies we actually work with our clients to help create a fun and festive holiday celebration that keep the employees wanting to come to the holiday party every year and not having to worry about the same predictable thing happening every year.

We mixed in some Holidays Music with old hits and newer tunes.
As the evening progressed we transitioned into a Karaoke Party and then a dance party that had the dance floor filled the entire time of dancing.

We had such a great time and were amazed with the kindness of everybody! This Holiday Party, was for sure a big success!

You guys ROCK!!!!!!!

We were so excited to be a part of The Animal Behavior College Holiday Party.

When we heard that they chose the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant in Van Nuyswe couldn't wait to do our first event there!

The Animal Behavior College is  the largest vocational school specializing in animal career training programs.
As dog lovers ourselves we were delighted to entertain animal lovers!

Nestled in the heart of Van Nuys and adjacent to the world's busiest general aviation airport is the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant.

The day of the event we were so happy to see how everyone was working as a team to bring this event together. Debbie Brown, the94th Aero Squadron Catering Director, and her staff were great to work with.
Cristina Acuna, The Animal Behavior College’s Human Resources Manager, did a great job planning this Holiday Party and putting the event together for 150 people.

We had planned 2 playlists for the cocktail hour and the dinner.
An Eclectic mix of modern and classics songs with the the traditional Holidays tunes.

When we first spoke to the client and talked about our services they asked about Karaoke.
So we decided to use Karafun Software, and were able to offer a catalogue of over 17,000 songs, we provided the wireless microphone.
We had the great pleasure to listen to Cristina Acuna and Steven Applebaum, the Animal Behavior College’CEO! Great voices!

Once they were all happy and full Ryan kicked off the dancing!

This Holiday Party was a great success and it was so nice from Steve Applebaum to demonstrate his appreciation and thoughtfulness to the people who helped his business!
